![]() ![]() We have driven by the casino a few times just to see what is happening. We can't see the casino from our house (not even light pollution) and traffic from the casino doesn't pass anywhere near our neighborhood, so the casino hasn't really affected us. For us, that isn't a huge problem, as we live in "north" Jamul, so we have an alterate route home and have pretty much avoided 94 for many years. ![]() We are keeping a close eye on how things may change with the new casino since we've lived here falmost as long as the casino has been debated and argued about.Īside from the first day, we are seeing only a slight increase in traffic on 94 on weekend nights. Check your statistics Jamul has less crime per square mile than places like Poway, Carlsbad, Encinitas, etc. I'm sort of scratching my head about what "explosion" of crime you are referring to. Jamul has never had a problem with crime. Add to that the coming mexican border issue and we have decided to go north near the Canadian border. since that time, this area has imploded with crime. Our first choice was to relocate to Jamul but when we knew that the casino was coming we decided against it. ![]()
